New Delhi: After the American attacks, Iran has now claimed strong retaliation. There is news of missile and drone attacks from Iran, after which tension has increased further in the entire West Asia. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that it has given America such an answer, which it will regret. Iran has claimed to target American military bases in Jordan and Bahrain.

According to IRGC, Iran fired a large number of ballistic missiles at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan. It has been reported that in this attack those hangars where long-range RQ-4 and MQ-9 drones are kept were targeted. In a statement issued on Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, the IRGC claimed that several drones were destroyed during the attack. It has also been said that some American flight and technical personnel were killed and many parts of the military structure were set on fire. However, these claims were not immediately confirmed by America and Jordan.

Claim of drone attack in Bahrain also

Iranian media has reported a large-scale drone attack on the American military base located in Bahrain. This development has also increased concerns about the security of American bases in the Gulf region. After the attack in Jordan, sirens were sounded at many places. According to state TV, some rockets coming to Mafraq area were stopped in the air. In such a situation, the increasing tension between Iran and America now seems to be reaching other countries as well.

America attacked first

This entire incident has come to light when America took military action against Iran for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. US forces had targeted IRGC positions around the Strait of Hormuz. US President Donald Trump had earlier warned Iran not to retaliate. According to Trump, the US strikes were carried out in response to Iran’s alleged attempt to lay sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz and a missile attack on a US military base in Jordan.

Hormuz Strait becomes the biggest center of tension

The Strait of Hormuz has become an important center of this entire dispute. It is included in the world’s most important oil transportation routes. After Iran’s threat to stop the movement of oil from here, the turmoil in the international market also intensified. After the news of the attacks came out, there was a rise in the prices of Brent crude. Iran has talked about stopping oil exports from the Gulf, while America has warned of retaliation and new sanctions.

America targeted IRGC bases

According to the US Central Command, attacks on IRGC targets in Iran were started from Tuesday afternoon. The US claims that this action was taken in response to alleged threats against commercial ships and American military personnel in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media reported that explosions were heard in Qeshm Island, Jask and Sirik. There has also been news of an attack on a civilian airport in Jiroft in southern Iran. Meanwhile, IRGC has warned America that it may have to bear the brunt of these attacks.
