Manchester United could reportedly face competition from Arsenal in a Deadline Day move for Leicester City wonderkid Louis Page.

The highly rated 18-year-old midfielder appears set to potentially follow fellow teenage talent Jeremy Monga out of the King Power Stadium this summer.

Even so, his future has still not been fully settled as the transfer window moves into its final few hours.

Ben Jacobs has reported that Manchester United are still in talks over a deal for Page, although Arsenal are also understood to be in the picture as the clock continues to run down.

“BREAKING: Manchester United are still working on a deal for Leicester City’s Louis Page ahead of tonight’s deadline. Talks ongoing, but a race against time. Arsenal the other club tracking the Foxes youngster. Leicester City also host Plymouth this evening, adding another complication,” Jacobs said.

This is not the first time Page has been linked with a move, with speculation around the player also emerging a few weeks ago. At that time, BBC Sport also named Arsenal and Aston Villa as possible suitors.

It now looks as though the battle is likely to be between the Red Devils and the Gunners, and with it being Deadline Day, developments could come quickly.

It has been a frustrating summer for Arsenal, who notably missed out on Monga after he chose to join Manchester City instead.

Page looks like another hugely exciting Leicester prospect, and Arsenal fans will be hoping the club do not miss out once again.

The England Under-20 international is unlikely to step straight into the first team at either Old Trafford or the Emirates Stadium, but he appears to have a very bright future at the highest level.

Securing his signature now would look like a smart move, otherwise his value is almost certain to rise sharply in the years ahead.
