A high‑level Odisha delegation will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 8 to 11 as part of the state government’s renewed push to attract global investors and strengthen foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain announced that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead the delegation during a four‑day visit to Dubai, where he will participate in a series of investor‑focused programmes. The Chief Minister is scheduled to hold one‑to‑one meetings with business leaders and representatives from diverse sectors to explore new investment opportunities in Odisha.

The visit will feature an investor roadshow, sectoral meetings, and a special interaction with the Odia diaspora in the UAE. The outreach aims to highlight Odisha’s industrial strengths, policy reforms, and emerging opportunities in manufacturing, food processing, renewable energy, and technology.

Minister Swain said the government is committed to creating an investor‑friendly ecosystem and expressed confidence that the Dubai engagement will pave the way for more foreign investments. “Odisha has already begun receiving FDI in key sectors, and we expect this visit to accelerate that momentum,” he noted.

The UAE programme is part of Odisha’s broader global investment drive to position the state as a preferred destination for sustainable and inclusive industrial growth.
