Former England all-rounder cricketer Ben Stokes is preparing to return to action. If reports are to be believed, Ben Stokes will be seen playing for Adelaide Strikers in the 2026/27 Big Bash League (BBL) season, as the franchise has signed this player. Stokes will earn approximately AUD $500,000 during his tenure with the Adelaide Strikers. Yes, the franchise will pay him a salary of Rs 3.41 crore.

Before signing with Adelaide Strikers, Stokes also received offers from Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades. He chose the South Australian franchise, which has given him a big advantage in the market of foreign players for the coming season.

Ben Stokes has created panic in BBL before

Ben Stokes has been a part of the Big Bash League before also. He played for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2014/15 season, playing four matches. He played his first match against Hobart Hurricanes, in which he scored a quick-fire 77 runs in just 37 balls and displayed his tremendous T20 batting skills at the highest level. Overall, the left-hander played four matches that season, scoring 128 runs at an average of 32 and taking three wickets at an economy of 12.20.

In T20I cricket, Ben Stokes has scored 3,027 runs in 162 matches at an average of 24.41 and strike rate of 132.87. In bowling, he has taken 93 wickets at an economy of 8.48. However, he played his last T20 match in August 2024.
