Bihar STET 2026: Qualifying for the STET is considered an excellent and solid option for candidates aspiring to secure a government job in the education sector in Bihar. Applications for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 began on August 17, 2026, with the original deadline set for today, August 31, 2026. However, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has now decided to extend the application deadline by another 15 days.
Interested and eligible candidates can now apply online for the Bihar STET 2026 until September 15. The prescribed examination fee must also be paid within this extended period. Qualifying in this teacher eligibility test paves the way for candidates to become teachers at the secondary level. Previously, STET 2026 aspirants had requested Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari to extend the application deadline; the Minister had assured them that he would consider their request sympathetically. This extension provides extra time to candidates who, for various reasons, had not yet been able to apply.
The extension of the application deadline is expected to increase the number of candidates appearing for the exam. Consequently, this additional application window is viewed as a significant opportunity for aspirants. Following the Board's decision, candidates should now focus on completing the application process promptly.
