Mumbai: 'Mirzapur The Movie' has become a topic of discussion even before its release due to its content. Let us tell you, after seeing the glimpse of violence and intimate scenes in the trailer of the film, questions were being raised on social media as to how the censor board views this content for theatres. Now reports are claiming that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked to make changes in some intimate scenes of the film.
According to reports, the film has been cut and edited at two places. It is being told that one change has been made in the first part of the film and the other in the second part. Along with this, about 35 seconds of intimate content has been removed. The length of the scenes has also been reduced to almost half.
Scenes not completely removed
The special thing is that the censor board has not completely removed these scenes from the film. Instead, changes to cuts and visual-sound have been made in some parts. For this reason, the discussion regarding the content of the film has become more intense.
Actually, one scene in the trailer had attracted a lot of attention on social media. In this, Divyendu, who plays the character of Munna Tripathi, is seen in an intimate situation with a woman. An atmosphere of action and firing is visible in the background of the scene. Meanwhile, a count like '98, 99…' is heard in the background. People had raised questions on social media regarding this presentation.
The matter changed from OTT to big screen
The backstory of 'Mirzapur' is shown on OTT, where viewers watch the content on their personal screens. But now 'Mirzapur The Movie' will be released in theatres. In such a situation, the role of the censor board becomes important regarding the bold and violent content of the film. The film's director Gurmeet Singh has already said that the film was planned to be made for adult audiences and was hoping for an 'Adults Only' certificate.
Now the question is that despite the adult certificate, where will be the limit of bold content in the film. According to reports, CBFC has definitely made changes in some scenes, but how much the audience will get to see the changes in the final version of the film will be clear only after the release.
