Mirzapur Aparna Rajat Kaushik, Superintendent of Police, Mirzapur District has given instructions to all the police station in-charge inspectors/incharges of the district to maintain peace and law and order in the district and to arrest/seize the accused by taking effective action against crime prevention and criminals and those involved in theft and sale of vehicles. Following the above instructions, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police City and Area Officer City, Vindhyachal police station has achieved success.

On date: 31.08.2026, police station Vindhyachal received information through an informer that two persons were coming from Devrahwa Baba Ashram with a stolen Apache motorcycle. On the said information, police station Vindhyachal raided near Ghamhapur and arrested 02 vicious accused riding Apache motorcycle: 1. Rajbabu Verma, son of Munna Verma, resident of Sabri Harijan Basti, police station Ko, Katra district, Mirzapur and 2. Parvez. Putra Yusuf Resident

Imambara police station, Katra district, Mirzapur was arrested and a stolen Apache motorcycle without number plate was recovered from the spot. In relation to the above arrest and recovery, FIR No. 246/2026 Section 317(2), 317(4) BNS was registered at Vindhyachal police station and advance legal action was taken as per rules and the arrested accused were sent to the Honorable Court/Jail. During interrogation by the arrested accused, it was said that the said Apache motorcycle was stolen from Varanasi and they were about to sell it to someone but were caught by the police.
