Patna. There is relief news for people buying apartments and flats in Bihar. There is a possibility of the process of registration and rejection of land of flats which had been closed for a long time. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department is busy preparing new software in this regard and it is expected to be implemented from September 2026.
There was a ban from April 2025
In the state, registration, mutation and creation of deposit of apartment land in the name of flat holders was stopped from April 2025. Because of this, people who had purchased flats were facing a lot of difficulty in getting the land records registered in their names.
What will be the benefit of the new system?
The department is now preparing a special digital system, so that the process of admission and rejection can be made uniform and transparent in the entire state. Currently, the adoption of different methods in different areas has created confusion and controversy.
After the implementation of the new system, flat buyers are expected to find it easier to get the land records in their name. It can also help in reducing disputes to ownership and land records in future. However, the final launch of the new system will be clear only after the official notification of the department, but with the software work being in the final stage, it is expected to provide a big relief to lakhs of flat buyers.
