New Delhi. The capital Delhi has once again been put to shame. A 16-year-old girl student was allegedly gang-raped in a sleeper bus. In this case, the police have arrested the driver and conductor of the bus. It has been told that this incident took place on the night of 4th August in Kashmiri Gate area. At present, the police have arrested bus driver Kuldeep and conductor Sandeep in the case. The victim is a resident of Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh and is a class 11 student.
According to police sources, the girl student had left the house without informing her family members and was going to her cousin living in Noida. Due to heavy rain and darkness, the student accidentally landed at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. Meanwhile, an empty sleeper bus passed by there. The student signaled the bus to stop, after which the bus stopped. The driver-conductor made him sit in the bus, telling him to go to Noida Sector-63.
It is alleged that shortly after the bus started, the conductor started obscene acts with the victim. According to the victim, after this the driver and conductor raped her and threatened to kill her if she protested. The accused dropped the victim at Ring Road near Kashmiri Gate bus stand late at night and fled away.
The frightened student contacted Kashmiri Gate Police and informed about the entire incident. Police arrested both the accused from a bus parking in Timarpur. Police have seized the sleeper bus used in the incident and its forensic investigation is being conducted.
According to police sources, the accused had taken the bus to Surajpur workshop for repairing after it developed a fault. After repairing the bus, the driver and conductor were going to Timarpur with the empty bus. During this time, he found a student at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. The bus covered a distance of about 47 kilometers from Pari Chowk to Kashmiri Gate. Since the bus was a sleeper and had curtains, no passerby could see the inside of the bus.
