Lucknow. In a shocking step in the UP bureaucracy, well-known and popular IAS officer Divya Mittal has voluntarily resigned from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Divya Mittal, a 2013 batch IAS officer, was currently posted as Special Secretary in the Revenue Department of UP.

Divya Mittal wrote that today she has decided to end her 13 years of unforgettable administrative journey. He said that this journey was not just a job but an opportunity to serve the country and the people. What is the reason for resignation?
However, till now Divya Mittal has not given any official reason for her resignation. She only indicated that she wanted to start a new chapter in her life. However, media reports are claiming that she had not received any field posting for the last four months and she wanted active administrative responsibility. This claim has not been officially confirmed. According to sources, Divya Mittal has submitted her resignation to Chief Secretary SP Goyal. His resignation has also not been formally accepted yet.
Divya Mittal worked as District Magistrate in districts like Deoria, Mirzapur and Sant Kabir Nagar. She was known for her strict work ethic and would often reprimand officials on the spot.
