Vaibhav Suryavanshi got the captaincy

On the first day, East Zone captain Ishan Kishan won the toss and elected to bowl. In the first session, the Central Division scored 62 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Kishan injured his right wrist while taking wicket in the 19th over. Physio immediately came and examined him. As the pain persisted, he decided to leave the field. After some time, Ishaan's wrists were also bandaged. He was replaced by Kumar Kushagra. Vaibhav Suryavanshi took over as captain after Ishaan was out of the field. This was the first opportunity in his career. Vaibhav was earlier appointed as the vice-captain of the East Zone. After just nine first-class matches, Vaibhav was given the captaincy.

Ishan Kishan injured while keeping wicket

Ishan Kishan suffered this injury in the 19th over. While he was keeping wicket, the ball hit his right wrist. After receiving medical treatment for pain, he had to leave the field for treatment, after which Kumar Kushagra took over the wicketkeeping duties. Vaibhav captained the senior team for the first time

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is captaining the senior men's cricket team for the first time. This is 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi's second Duleep Trophy match. He is playing his 10th first-class match. Earlier, he made his Ranji Trophy debut in early 2024. At this time he set the record as the youngest player to play the match. East Zone squad changes for semi-finals

East Zone has made a big change in its squad for the semi-final match. The hero of the previous match, Shehbaz Ahmed, was not fully fit for this match, so he was dropped from the final 11 and replaced by Keen Qureshi. By lunch on the first day, Central Division had scored 81 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
