Gorakhpur. Famous IAS officer Divya Mittal of Uttar Pradesh cadre has voluntarily resigned after 13 years of administrative service. Divya Mittal, former District Magistrate of Deoria and posted as Special Secretary, shared the information about her decision through social media. Divya, who has studied from IIT Delhi and (IIM Bangalore) Bangalore, said in her long emotional post that now she wants to move beyond the dreams seen for herself and live the dreams seen for the people and society.

Decision of resignation shared in social media post

While sharing the post on X and Facebook, Divya Mittal wrote that she has voluntarily resigned from the IAS service, ending the unforgettable journey of 13 years. He told that Divya, who grew up in an ordinary environment, had dreamed of a successful life and worked hard day and night to fulfill it. She studied from IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore, after which she also got a job in London. However, despite everything he achieved, he continued to feel incomplete.

It was decided to leave the foreign job and return to the country.

Divya Mittal wrote in her post that while living abroad, the feeling of being away from her country constantly troubled her. She believed that her education, self-confidence and strength to move forward in the world was the gift of this soil and she wanted to repay this debt. With this feeling, she returned to India and started the journey of becoming an IAS officer. He wrote that during his administrative service, he got the opportunity to do and learn a lot.

Big lessons of life learned from Deoria and Mirzapur

Recalling the experiences of her tenure, Divya Mittal made special mention of Deoria and Mirzapur. He said that Deoria taught him that standing for what is right is not an option but a duty. Whereas, Mirzapur taught him that impossible is not the ultimate truth. Referring to the time spent at the feet of Maa Vindhyavasini, he said that real power does not come from any position, but from the trust and blessings of the people.

Someone’s life is hidden behind government files

Divya Mittal said that she saw the real peace of administrative life in the eyes of those people who got the right to land for the first time, a disabled person got the opportunity to live with dignity or water reached a farmer’s field. She wrote that while walking with the struggles of the people, she understood that behind every government file there is a person and his life. In such a situation, true justice is to maintain his dignity and respect.

‘I thought I had come to give something, but I got the most’

In her emotional post, Divya Mittal wrote that she had come thinking that maybe she would get a chance to give something to the people, but the truth was that she got the opportunity to learn and get the most from the society and people. She also expressed gratitude to the officers, employees and colleagues working with her, who worked shoulder to shoulder with her in difficult times.

I will always remember the blessings of an elderly woman.

While announcing her resignation, Divya Mittal also shared an emotional experience. She told that an elderly woman living on the hills of Lahuriya Dah did not say anything when water reached her village for the first time, but touched her head with trembling hands and blessed her. Divya wrote that even though she has lost her position today, that touch and that dream will remain with her throughout her life, which the soil of the country has given her.
