In Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol divisions of the eastern part, the decrease is up to 19 percent. Many districts including Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Damoh, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Mandla, Mauganj, Narsinghpur, Niwari, Pandhurna, Panna, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Tikamgarh and Dindori have received 1 to 49 percent less rainfall. Even in many districts of the western part, rainfall figures are behind normal. Here the decrease has been recorded from 4 to 50 percent.

According to meteorologists, rain and thundershowers will continue in the state between August 28 and 30. There is little chance of widespread heavy rainfall. There is more possibility of rain in the eastern region.
