For this you will need only poha and semolina. This dosa is not only delicious to eat, but it is also very easy to make. From kids’ tiffin to morning breakfast, this ‘Instant Set Dosa’ is a perfect and healthy option. Note down its recipe from here.

Material

  • 1 cup semolina (rava – any fine or thick)
  • 1/2 cup poha
  • 1/2 cup fresh curd (not too sour)
  • 1 cup water (according to the consistency of the batter)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (or 1 sachet eno fruit salt)
  • salt as per taste
  • Oil or ghee (for baking dosa)

method of making

step 1

First of all, take half a cup of poha and wash it thoroughly with water so that all the dirt is removed. Now add washed poha and 1 cup semolina in a mixer grinder jar. Once dry, grind them lightly so that both the things mix together and the semolina becomes fine.

Step 2
Now add half cup curd, salt as per taste and about half cup water in the same mixer jar. Blend everything well so that a smooth and thick batter is prepared. Keep in mind that the batter should not be too thin. Its consistency should be like traditional idli or dosa batter.

Step 3
Take out the prepared batter in a big bowl. Keep it covered for 10 to 15 minutes so that the semolina swells well and the batter gets set.

Step 4
When you are all set to make dosa, add baking soda or eno to the batter. Pour one spoon of water over it so that it gets activated. This will make the dosa absolutely spongy.

Step 5
Heat a non-stick pan on gas. When the pan is hot, put a few drops of oil on it and wipe it with tissue paper or cotton cloth. Reduce the gas flame to medium. Now pour a ladleful of batter in the center of the pan and spread it lightly. This is a set dosa, so do not make it too thin, keep it a little thick.

Step 6
Within a few seconds you will see bubbles starting to form on the upper surface of the dosa. Add some oil or ghee on the edges. When the lower surface becomes golden, turn it over and cook the other side lightly.
