Bhopal. The 2 room forest house of Omkareshwar located in Khandwa district of the state will be demolished and converted into ten rooms. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has issued instructions for this. This is being done for Simhastha coming in the year 2028. People coming to Simhastha to be organized in Ujjain also come to visit the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva located nearby Omkareshwar, hence the forest rest house here will be demolished and made up of ten rooms.

This rest house is under the control of the forest department and the Narmada river flows near it and the Om mountain of Omkareshwar is also visible. It will be constructed by the Eco Tourism Board of the Forest Department and will make arrangements for online booking. It is built on revenue land. Instructions have been given to prepare DPR for this.
