Tara Sutaria has opened up about her experience working alongside actor Yash in the film Toxic: A FairyTale for GrownUps. She described him as a remarkably considerate and emotionally aware co-star.

Speaking on The Male Feminist podcast, Tara reflected on Yash’s personality once the cameras stopped rolling. She noted that he was nothing like the intense character he portrayed on screen.

According to Tara, Yash consistently prioritised others over himself during their time working together. She admitted that this quality is rarely seen within the industry, making his behaviour stand out even more.

She further explained that Yash showed genuine thoughtfulness toward everyone around him on set. Tara said she hadn’t encountered anyone quite like him before, praising his consideration as truly exceptional.

The conversation also touched on the frequent comparisons made between actresses in Bollywood. Tara pushed back against this practice, arguing that every actor follows a unique path and takes on different types of roles.

She pointed out that measuring actresses against one another isn’t fair, since each artist contributes something different to their craft. According to her, such comparisons overlook the individuality that each performer brings to their work.

Tara also highlighted a noticeable gender imbalance in how these comparisons play out publicly. She observed that actresses are frequently pitted against each other online, while male actors rarely face similar scrutiny or comparison.

Toxic: A FairyTale for GrownUps starred Yash in the lead role, alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria herself. The film was directed by Geetu Mohandas and brought together a diverse ensemble cast.

In the movie, Tara portrayed the character Rebecca. Director Geetu Mohandas had earlier praised her performance, noting that Tara absorbed far more emotion than she outwardly expressed through dialogue, a subtlety the director appreciated in her approach to the role.
