Aston Villa have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer of Ibrahim Mbaye, 18.

The two clubs are understood to have agreed on a package worth around €55 million, with the relationship between Aston Villa owner Nassef Sawiris and PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi believed to have played a key role in getting the move over the line.

Mbaye joined Paris from FC Versailles in 2018 and continued his development in the Rouge et Bleu academy before stepping into the first-team squad for the 2024-25 season. The right-footed player made his senior debut in August 2024 and has since gone on to make 42 appearances, scoring four goals and registering four assists.

After featuring 30 times in all competitions last season, including 11 starts, for Luis Enrique’s side, Mbaye made a decisive contribution on five occasions with three goals and two assists. A Senegal international, he has won 15 caps for the Lions of Teranga and scored four goals.
