Tezzbuzz Desk- If you want to prepare homemade sweets for your brother on Rakshabandhan, but do not have much time, then this instant barfi can be a great option. To make this, only condensed milk and milk powder will be required. This sweet, which can be prepared in a short time, can even compete with market barfi in taste.
Sweets have special importance on the festival of Rakshabandhan. After tying Rakhi on brother's wrist, sisters sweeten his mouth by feeding him sweets. During festival days, the crowd at sweet shops in the markets increases and at many places pre-prepared sweets are sold. In such a situation, if you want to make fresh and easy sweets at home, then you can try instant barfi.
The special thing is that you do not need to do long preparation to make this barfi. Only two main things are used in it and there is no need to burn gas to make it. That is, if you plan to make sweets at the last moment on the day of Rakshabandhan, then this recipe can be very useful.
These things are needed to make barfi
For this instant barfi, mainly 400 grams of condensed milk and about 3.5 to 4 cups of milk powder will be required. For better taste, you can use skimmed or full cream milk powder of your choice.
If you want to make the barfi a little rich and fancy, then you can add 8 to 10 almonds and approximately the same number of pistachios in it. Silver work can also be used for decoration. To grease the container for making barfi, take a little desi ghee or butter paper.
Step 1- Prepare the barfi mixture
First of all, take out condensed milk in a big bowl. Now instead of adding milk powder all at once, mix it slowly. Keep mixing the mixture well every time after adding milk powder. Mix it until the mixture becomes soft and looks like kneaded dough. Keep in mind that the mixture should neither be too thin nor too hard.
Second step- set with nuts
Now cut almonds and pistachios into fine or small pieces. Take a flat container or tray and spread butter paper in it. If there is no butter paper then apply a little ghee on the surface of the container. Now spread chopped almonds and pistachios well below. Pour the prepared barfi mixture over it and spread it evenly in uniform thickness with the help of a spoon or ladle.
Third step- set in the refrigerator
Now keep the container in the refrigerator for some time so that the barfi freezes properly. When the mixture is set, take it out and carefully take out the barfi from the container.
Now apply silver work on it and cut it into desired shape. You can serve it by cutting it into square, diamond or kite shape.
In this way, your homemade barfi will be ready without burning gas and in a very short time. The sweetness of the festival can be further increased by feeding it to brother on Rakshabandhan.
