NEET PG 2026: NEET PG, one of the country's most important medical entrance examinations, will be held on August 30 across more than 1,300 centers nationwide. The exam will be conducted in a single shift across 340 cities. However, following recent paper leak incidents, concerns regarding exam security and potential leaks have arisen among students. Amidst these concerns, Dr. Abhijat Sheth, Chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC), has clearly stated that since NEET PG is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, a paper leak is not possible.

Speaking to ANI, Dr. Sheth explained that the question paper is released only half an hour before the exam begins, eliminating the possibility of a paper leak occurring traditionally.

**Identity Verification via Aadhaar**
The NMC Chairman stated that Aadhaar-based authentication has been implemented this time to verify the identity of candidates. The objective is to prevent impersonation and identity-related irregularities.

According to him, security arrangements at exam centers have also been strengthened compared to the past; more security personnel have been deployed, and the entire conduct of the exam is under close surveillance.

**Strengthened Security Measures**
According to the NMC, security at exam centers has been significantly bolstered. Measures include:

Increasing the number of security personnel.
Tightening surveillance during the exam.
Exercising greater caution in the selection of exam centers.
Strengthening logistics and backup arrangements.

**Essential Information Provided to Students in Advance**
Dr. Sheth noted that special emphasis was placed on providing candidates with accurate and clear information regarding the exam process well in advance. This aims to reduce confusion among students and enable them to prepare more effectively for the exam.

**Focus on a Fair Examination**
Amidst questions raised regarding various competitive exams in recent years, the NMC asserts that comprehensive preparations have been made to conduct NEET PG 2026 in a secure, transparent, and organized manner. The Commission's focus is to ensure that all candidates get the opportunity to take the examination in a fair environment.
