Clubs from the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A are among the 10 teams with the highest net spend in the summer of 2026 so far.

Transfer fees keep rising with every summer window, and several nine-figure deals have already been completed this year, with more still possible before deadline day.

With only a few days left in the window, here are the 10 clubs from around the world with the biggest net spend this summer.

Roma are one of three Serie A clubs on this list, and they have strengthened their squad this summer as they get ready to return to the Champions League after seven years away.

They signed Donyell Malen from Aston Villa on a permanent transfer worth €25million after his impressive loan spell at the club during the second half of last season.

Daniele Ghilardi’s loan move has also been made permanent, while Santiago Castro, Rodrigo Mora, Konstantinos Koulierakis and Nahuel Molina have since arrived at the Stadio Olimpico as well.

Despite reported interest in Paulo Dybala and Manu Kone, both players are still at the club and Roma have only moved on a handful of fringe players this summer.

After a disastrous 14-month spell as Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has now returned to the dugout with AC Milan.

He is still committed to his 3-4-2-1 system and has used the transfer market to bring in players suited to that approach, with Diego Moreira expected to play as one of the wing-backs after his €50million move from Strasbourg.

The Rossoneri have also added more attacking threat, paying a club-record €74million to sign Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain.

They have raised just under €50million through sales so far, but that figure could rise before the window closes, with Rafael Leao, Santiago Gimenez, Fikayo Tomori and Youssouf Fofana all considered surplus to requirements by Amorim.

Amorim’s departure in January led to Michael Carrick being appointed on an interim basis, and after guiding United to a third-place finish in the Premier League, he is now their permanent manager.

Carrick has reshaped the midfield this summer by signing Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba for a combined €173.2million.

They are still in the market for a left-back before the transfer window closes, although a deal for Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall could prove too expensive.

As for departures, Napoli activated the €44million obligation to buy Rasmus Hojlund, while Radek Vitek has been sold to Middlesbrough for €8.15million.

Like AC Milan, Juventus also do not have Champions League income this year, but they have still been highly active in the transfer market.

Their costliest signing this summer was one they did not want to make, as a €42.75million obligation to buy Lois Openda was triggered, and he has since been sent out on loan to Lyon.

Randal Kolo Muani has rejoined the club on a permanent deal after his loan spell in 2024-25, while highly rated teenage pair Kerim Alajbegovic and Jeff Ekhator have also been brought in.

The Old Lady maintain that Kenan Yildiz is not for sale, and Timothy Weah’s €14.4million transfer to Marseille is the biggest fee they have received this summer.

Coventry City won the Championship title last season, ending their 25-year absence from the Premier League.

Frank Lampard is now trying to build a side capable of competing in the top flight and has signed six new players this summer, while Frank Onyeka’s loan from Brentford and Carl Rushworth’s from Brighton have both been made permanent.

Their most expensive arrival has been Caleb Yirenkyi, who joined from FC Nordsjaelland in a €27million deal after winning the Danish Superliga Young Player of the Year award last season.

Jahnoah Markelo is the only player they have sold so far this summer, moving to UAE Pro League side Shabab Al Ahli for €5.15million.

Heavy spending offers no guarantee of survival, as Ipswich Town know well after spending €125million in the summer of 2024 and then finishing 19th in the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys have gone even bigger this time, with total spending of €178.35million, more than clubs such as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

They are not finished yet and are close to completing a €22.5million deal for Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen.

Gary O’Neil’s side have recovered some of that outlay through player sales, with George Hirst, Arijanet Muric and Harry Clarke among those to leave the club.

After a disappointing 2025-26 season, Real Madrid brought back Jose Mourinho as head coach and have since supported him in the transfer market.

Los Blancos beat competition from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €125million.

The full-back areas have been strengthened through the arrivals of Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella, while Carlos Espi has come in as their new back-up striker.

In terms of exits, Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios have followed former Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa to Fulham, who paid a combined €50million for the pair.

Arsenal ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title last season, but they have not stood still in the summer transfer market.

The Gunners have reinforced central areas with Bruno Guimaraes, added quality out wide with Christos Tzolis and strengthened the defence with Ezri Konsa, while Piero Hincapie’s loan move has been converted into a permanent transfer.

Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, Christian Norgaard and Karl Hein have all been sold, bringing €46.15million into the club.

But their net spend is expected to fall when Gabriel Martinelli completes a €58million move to Al Hilal, which would be a club-record sale for Arsenal.

After spending much of last season battling relegation and eventually surviving by a narrow margin of two points, Tottenham are determined to climb the Premier League table in 2026/27.

They broke their own transfer record twice within a matter of weeks, first by signing Matheus Fernandes for €99million and then by buying Sandro Tonali for €108million.

Along with those two midfield additions, Spurs have also signed Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton and Savio from Manchester City.

Former club captain Cristian Romero has been their standout departure this summer, while Luka Vuskovic, Djed Spence and Will Lankshear have also been sold.

After finishing 10th in the Premier League last season, Chelsea have regained their place as Europe’s highest-spending club.

They have paid a club-record €138million to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and another €60.7million for former Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix.

The Blues have also recruited from outside the Premier League, bringing Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Denner, Dastan Satpaev, Emmanuel Emegha, Valentin Barco and Pep Chavarria to Stamford Bridge.

Their spending has been partly balanced by the sales of Andrey Santos, Marc Cucurella, Liam Delap, Trevoh Chalobah and Tyrique George, while Nicolas Jackson is also expected to leave in a big-money move.
