Chhattisgarh :- Swine flu cases are continuously emerging. After Durg and Bhilai, now swine flu has knocked in Bilaspur also. So far, swine flu has been confirmed in 7 patients in the district. Of these, 2 patients are undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, while 5 patients have been discharged from the hospital after recovery.

According to the Health Department, the condition of the 75-year-old woman admitted in the hospital is now said to be out of danger. The travel history of a 30-year-old patient from Raipur has come to light. After the patients were found, the health department has come on alert mode and monitoring has been increased to prevent infection.
CMHO confirmed 7 patients
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Bilaspur has so far confirmed swine flu in 7 patients in the district. The health department is constantly monitoring the condition of infected patients. Surveillance of possible swine flu patients has been increased at PHC and CHC level including CIMS, District Hospital.

The Health Department has also instructed hospitals to remain alert, so that suspected patients with symptoms like fever, cold, cough and difficulty in breathing can be examined and treated on time.
Treatment of 2 patients continues in Apollo Hospital
Out of the 7 infected patients found so far, 5 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Currently, 2 patients are undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital. These include a 75-year-old woman, whose condition was earlier said to be critical, but now she is out of danger.

Health department officials are continuously monitoring the health of the patients. Besides, information about the people who came in contact with the patients is also being collected.

Cases increased in Durg and Bhilai also
Earlier, cases of swine flu have also been reported in Durg and Bhilai. One new patient each has been confirmed in Bhilai and Durg. The age of both the infected is said to be between 45 and 50 years.

Earlier, swine flu was confirmed in an innocent child in the district. After the arrival of two new cases, the number of infected people there has increased to 3. After continuously receiving new cases, the Health Department has increased surveillance.

Health department increased vigilance
The concern of the health department has increased after swine flu patients were found in Durg and Bhilai including Bilaspur. To prevent the spread of infection, special attention is being paid to testing suspected patients, monitoring the infected and making necessary arrangements in hospitals.

The Health Department has appealed to the people to immediately contact the nearest health center if they notice serious symptoms like high fever, persistent cough, difficulty in breathing or flu. Children, elderly and people with weak immunity have been advised to take special precautions.
