What is the Guruji Student Credit Card?
The Guruji Student Credit Card scheme is an initiative by the Jharkhand government. Its objective is to ensure that students' education is not interrupted due to a lack of funds. Under this scheme, students can avail education loans for diploma courses, graduation, and further studies. A maximum loan amount of ₹15 lakh is provided under this scheme.
Who can apply?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, students must meet certain criteria. For diploma courses, passing Class 10 from a recognized school in Jharkhand is mandatory. For graduation or higher studies, students must have passed both Class 10 and Class 12 from recognized schools in Jharkhand. The applicant's age must not exceed 40 years at the time of application. Additionally, the college or institution where admission has been secured must be eligible under the scheme.
How to apply online?
Students can apply by visiting the official Guruji Student Credit Card portal. First, registration is required. Subsequently, details such as name, address, Aadhaar number, mobile number, college, course, and bank information must be entered. During the application process, verification may be conducted via an OTP sent to the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card. Students also need to select their preferred bank and branch for the loan.
What documents are required?
When applying, you may be required to submit documents such as your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, Aadhaar card, photograph, and signature.
