What exactly is the case?
This happened in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. A woman ate grilled chicken in a cafe and became ill afterwards. This event is on October 21, 2025. When a woman went to a cafe with her sister. The woman spent ₹36,393 on the treatment. She alleged that her son asked the cafe owners to pay for the treatment, but they mocked her. She filed a complaint in the consumer forum about all these situations. Commission chairman George Baby and member Nishad Thankappa ordered the owner and manager of the cafe to pay Rs 96,393 as compensation to the woman.

The cafe owner denied the woman's allegations. He said every customer is served high-quality chicken. Compensation within 30 days
The court, while giving its verdict, ordered the cafe to pay ₹96,393,000 within 30 days. If the cafe does not pay the amount within the stipulated time, they will also have to pay an annual interest of 10 percent on the amount.
