For this he spent about Rs 300 and bought an oven. This small investment later became the foundation of his big business journey. Initially Rajni used to sell her products in local fairs. However, due to lack of business experience, he had to suffer losses many times. From pricing to understanding the market, he had to learn a lot gradually.

Got new direction for business with husband’s support

Rajni’s husband Dharamveer Bector recognized her talent and hard work. He gave financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to Rajni to further his business. With this capital he established an ice cream unit. After getting success in ice cream business, Rajni moved towards making bread. Initially his unit used to prepare around 5,000 breads daily. As demand increased, production also increased and at one time this figure reached about 50,000 breads per day.

The journey from Cremica to McDonald’s

This business later became the foundation of the Cremica brand. Rajni Bector’s business later expanded to biscuits and other bakery products also. During the expansion of McDonald’s in India, his company got the opportunity to supply buns for it. This gave a new identity to the business. Later the company also entered the field of products like ketchup and mayonnaise through a joint venture with Quaker Oats. With time the business expanded and the next generation of the family also got involved.
