The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is now on sale in India at an introductory starting price of Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Under the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) programme, prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh with a battery rental of Rs 4.90 per km. Bookings for the EV are already underway, with deliveries are set to bgin in September, 2026.
The electric SUV model lineup is available in four trims – Excite 7-seat, Exclusive 7-seat, Essence 7-seat and Essence 5-seat – priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, Rs 21.99 lakh, Rs 23.49 lakh and Rs 22.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom). These introductory prices will be applicable to a limited number of units.

Battery & Range
The MG Hector Tomahawk is the brand’s first model to be based on MG’s ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology) architecture, which supports electric, strong hybrid, range extender hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Its powertrain setup consists of a 69.2kWh battery pack and a front mounted electric motor, delivering a combined power of 204bhp and 310Nm of torque. The EV offers a claimed MIDC range of 517km on a single charge and accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 8.2 seconds.
Charging Time
The new MG electric SUV features CCS2 (Combined Charging System 2) that allows it to be charged using both AC and DC fast chargers. Using a 90kW DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up from 30 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes. It takes nearly 12.5 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent via a 7.4kW AC charger. MG also offers a portable charger with the EV.
V2V, V2L & V2H
The Hector Tomahawk supports V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) functionalities. It’s claimed to be India’s first vehicle to offer V2H (vehicle-to-home) functionality, which allows the EV to act as a large battery backup for the home.
Colour Options & Dimensions
The new MG Hector Tomahawk is being offered in five colour options – Pearl White, Aurora Silver, Khaki Green, Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver and Starry Black. The EV measures 4,745mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,770mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,810mm. It offers a ground clearance of 230mm.
The EV SUV is available in both 5 and 7-seat configuration options, with the 5-seat version reserved for the top-end variant. The 5-seater version 610-litres of boot space, while the 7-seater variant has a luggage space of 192-litres with all three rows in use and 528-litres with the third row folded.
