JSW MG Motor has launched the new MG Tomahawk SUV in India to strengthen its hold in the electric vehicle segment. The company has introduced it with both electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options. The SUV has been equipped with attractive design, premium interior and many advanced features. The company is giving two options to the customers to buy the SUV. Customers can purchase it at full price or use a 'Battery-as-a-Service' (BaaS) rental plan.

The starting price of Tomahawk EV is Rs 13.99 lakh with BaaS plan, while its starting price without battery rental is Rs 19.50 lakh. Whereas, the price of Tomahawk PHEV starts from Rs 21.80 lakh with BaaS and Rs 25.70 lakh without rental. According to the company, these starting prices are applicable for limited units.

Booking and Delivery

MG Tomahawk can be booked in Excite, Exclusive and Essence variants. The company has started its booking. Test drives and deliveries of the Tomahawk EV are expected to begin in September 2026, while test drives and deliveries of the PHEV model are expected to begin in November 2026.

Tomahawk SUV has been given a bold and modern design. Its front has a black grill with chrome elements, LED DRLs and dynamic turn indicators. The SUV gets 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, shark-fin antenna, rear fog lights and LED taillights.

Premium interior and 5-7 seater option

MG Tomahawk is offered in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. It has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-speaker Infinity sound system and 256-color ambient lighting.

Apart from this, ventilated front seats, 6-way powered driver seat, memory function, 4-way electric co-passenger seat and sunshades for the rear seats are provided. It also has a panoramic sunroof.

Advanced Connected Features

More than 80 connected features have been provided in the SUV. It features over 30 Hinglish voice commands, i-Swipe+ gesture control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with wireless phone charging.

Apart from this, features like 8.7-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, transparent chassis view and power tailgate are also provided.

Safety Features

For safety, Tomahawk has features like Level-2 ADAS, 6 airbags, electronic stability program, traction control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD and electronic parking brake.

Tomahawk EV's battery and range

Tomahawk EV has a 69.2kWh LFP battery pack. Its electric motor generates power of 201 bhp and peak torque of 310 Nm. According to the company, the SUV can give a range of up to 517 kilometers on full charge.

This SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.2 seconds.

Powertrain of Tomahawk PHEV

Tomahawk PHEV has a 20.5kWh battery pack with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Its combined power output is 198 bhp and torque is 230 Nm. According to the company, its total driving range including petrol and battery can be up to 1100 kilometers.
