Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi is fully prepared to once again introduce its most popular and iconic SUV 'Pajero' in a new avatar. After a long wait of almost two decades i.e. 20 years, this powerful 4×4 SUV is going to enter the international market again. The company will officially unveil its new model on September 2.
The old Pajero ruled the hearts of car lovers across the world with its strength, unmatched off-roading capability and durable design. Now regarding its return in a new avatar, it is believed that the company will add a touch of modern technology to it while maintaining its old original nature. In the global market, the direct competition of this new Pajero is being considered with Toyota's legendary SUV Land Cruiser Prado.
If reports and leaks are to be believed, the new Pajero will be built on a very strong 'ladder-frame chassis'. This chassis is considered most suitable for off-road driving enthusiasts, because it can easily withstand the pressure of rough and rocky roads.
To improve performance and grip, the company can provide its patented 'S-AWC' (Super All-Wheel Control) system in it. This advanced all-wheel-drive technology accurately transfers power to each wheel in challenging weather and road conditions. Mitsubishi is already using this technology in its pickup truck Triton, and if it comes to Pajero then there will be no answer to its grip and controlling.
Talking about powertrain, the company has not yet officially revealed the engine details. However, auto experts estimate that the new Pajero can be launched with a diesel-hybrid engine. This combination will not only give the vehicle unmatched power but will also ensure excellent mileage as per the needs of today's times.
It is expected to be sold in Japan, America, Europe and South-East Asian countries in the initial phase after launch. As far as the Indian market is concerned, at present there is no official confirmation from the company regarding its arrival in India, but off-roading lovers are waiting for its return in India too.
