Atletico Madrid confirm Thiago Almada's move to River Plate

Thiago Almada's transfer from Atletico Madrid to River Plate has now been officially confirmed.
The Argentina international is heading back home.
On the official website of the Colchoneros, Atletico Madrid and River Plate announced that they had reached an agreement for the transfer of Thiago Almada to the Buenos Aires club.
That brings the Argentine's time with the Spanish capital side to an end after he arrived last summer. In his only season with Atletico, Almada made 40 appearances, scored four goals and registered two assists.
The statement ended by saying: Atletico Madrid wish him all the best for his professional and personal future.
