Arsenal are interested in Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye as they continue their search for extra firepower in attack this season, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners are in the market for an attacker and, after moving on from pursuits of Bradley Barcola, Vinicius Jr, and Morgan Rogers, they may now focus on the Senegal international.

Arsenal are already well aware of what he can do. Last season, Ndiaye scored six goals and registered three assists in 32 Premier League appearances for Everton.

He has also started the 2026/27 campaign with an assist on the opening matchday. His teammate Vitaliy Mykolenko believes he is “the most skilful player in the Premier League.”

Even after bringing in Christos Tzolis and while still hoping to sign another striker before the transfer window shuts, Arsenal remain keen on adding another left-sided attacker.

The 26-year-old is an unpredictable dribbler capable of opening up defences. He offers a genuine x-factor in the final third.

That said, Arsenal are likely to be put off by the £80 million valuation, a figure that reportedly even caused a wealthy Saudi Arabian club to step away from negotiations.

Arsenal would do well to think carefully before considering an £80 million move for Ndiaye.

He is undoubtedly a gifted and unpredictable attacker, but that fee is hard to justify for someone who is not an elite scorer or creator.

More significantly, he would not be an obvious upgrade on the options Mikel Arteta already has at his disposal. Arsenal do not need another versatile attacker simply to increase depth.

What they require is a player who can regularly change matches and make the side more threatening in the final third.

Ndiaye may bring flair and unpredictability, but he does not quite look like the game-changing addition Arsenal need for that level of spending.

The Gunners may be better off directing their funds towards a truly top-class centre-forward in the mould of Victor Osimhen.

If Arsenal are able to secure the right striker before the window closes, they could have enough quality throughout the squad to seriously challenge for the biggest honours this season.

Tzolis, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze already offer more than enough firepower.
