The weak monsoon in Rajasthan has once again gained momentum. Yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued in 17 districts of the state on Tuesday.

It has been raining intermittently since morning in many districts including Jaipur and Kota. Due to continuous rains, the temperature has dropped and people have got relief from heat and humidity.

According to the Meteorological Department, this period of rain in the state is likely to continue till August 27.

Earlier on Monday also, there was good rain in many parts of the state. In the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 102 mm occurred in Sikri of Bharatpur, which is about four inches.

Apart from Bharatpur, up to three inches of water rained at many places in Alwar, Karauli and Dausa. Due to rain, roads were submerged at many places and people had to face problems due to water logging in low-lying areas.

After heavy rain in the capital Jaipur on Monday afternoon, the rain continued on Tuesday also. It has been raining intermittently in the city and surrounding areas since morning.

In the last 24 hours, there was 35 mm of rain on JLN road in Jaipur. Due to rain, the temperature of the capital has dropped by about two degrees and the weather has become pleasant.

Drizzly rain is continuing in Kota since Tuesday morning. Due to rain the temperature dropped and the weather became pleasant.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Kota division till August 26. After heavy rains on Monday in Hindaun of Karauli district, markets and roads were filled with knee-deep water.

This affected the movement of people. After the rain, the inflow of water into Panchna Dam has also increased. The gauge of the dam increased from 9.10 meters to 9.15 meters.

It rained intermittently in Alwar on Monday. There was light fog in most parts of the district on Tuesday morning. The weather remains pleasant due to rain. On the contrary, due to weak monsoon activities in Ajmer, the effect of heat and humidity continues.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of monsoon trough, rains are continuing in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh along with Rajasthan.

There is a possibility of rain in the next three days in Bharatpur, Alwar, Dholpur and Karauli and surrounding districts of Rajasthan bordering western Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, monsoon activity can be seen once again in many parts of the state.
