An 11-year-old girl, Arya Anil Thombre, died after an Eeco car allegedly hit her while she was walking home from school in Karjat on Monday. Police said the accident occurred near Ganesh temple on Bhoirwadi-Kundalaj road around 12.30 pm. A case has been registered against driver Alkesh Karnak, and police are investigating the incident.
Navi Mumbai: An 11-year-old girl died after being knocked down by an Eeco car on the Bhoirwadi-Kundalaj road in Karjat taluka on Monday afternoon. The accident occurred when the girl was on her way home from school.
Girl suffers fatal injuries after speeding vehicle hits her near Ganesh temple
The deceased has been identified as Arya Anil Thombre, a resident of Kundalaj. According to the police, Arya was walking home from school when an Eeco car, allegedly travelling at high speed, knocked her down near the Ganesh temple on the Bhoirwadi-Kundalaj road around 12.30 pm.
Arya sustained multiple injuries in the accident and died from her injuries. Her father, Anil Thombre, subsequently lodged a complaint with the Karjat police.
