Controversy has increased regarding serving of fish in the welcome program of Congress State President Ajay Rai. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Congress, accusing it of alleged double standards. Congress hit back and called it an attempt to divert attention from the real issues.
Tezzbuzz Desk- A political controversy has arisen over serving of fish during the welcome program of Congress State President Ajay Rai in Ayodhya. After the video of this program organized in the month of Sawan surfaced, BJP started targeting Congress. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has raised questions on the alleged double attitude of Congress regarding this matter.
Actually, Ajay Rai had reached Ayodhya with party leaders on Sunday. Here he first saw Bajrang Bali in Hanumangarhi and recited Hanuman Chalisa. After this he reached Ram temple and had darshan of Ramlala. Later he attended the felicitation ceremony organized at Arpit Marriage Lawn in Tarun. During this program, a video of fish being cooked surfaced, after which political rhetoric intensified.
CM Yogi attacked Congress
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a sharp attack on the Congress, said that on one hand, Congress leaders chant the name of Ram and go to temples and offer prayers, while on the other hand, fish feasts are organized in Ayodhya. He termed it as double conduct of Congress.
Yogi Adityanath said that the state president of Congress went to Hanumangarhi for darshan and then attended the fish feast. He raised the question that if fish had to be eaten then a place outside Ayodhya could have been chosen for it.
'Even a chameleon should feel shy'
Taking a jibe at the attitude of Congress leaders, CM Yogi said that even a chameleon should feel embarrassed after seeing such double behavior of theirs. He said that on one hand, chanting of Ram-Ram and pretending to pay obeisance in the temple of Bajrang Bali is done, while on the other hand, fish feast is organised.
Pawan Kheda defended Congress
Meanwhile, Congress leader Pawan Kheda hit back at BJP's attack. He said that such issues are being raised so that public attention can be diverted from important questions like paper leak.
Pawan Kheda said that Ajay Rai is a vegetarian and did not eat fish. He also said that even if a person eats fish, then what is the point of objection in it. Referring to other issues to Ayodhya, Kheda accused BJP of avoiding real questions.
After this entire controversy, the political rhetoric between BJP and Congress regarding the Congress program organized in Ayodhya seems to be intensifying.
