Hiding the burning smell of cooking is a very difficult task. Once the bottom of the pan or pan starts to burn due to the carelessness of the cook, there is no saving it. Even if that cooking can be removed, it is impossible to stop the smell. Not only in the kitchen, but the smell (Burnt Food Smell) wants to spread throughout the house. Spraying room freshener doesn't cover it, instead it creates a more unpleasant smell.
Follow some simple tips to know what to do in such a situation.
- The main source of the odor should be removed first. Ventilate the kitchen by opening windows and doors. Continue if there is an exhaust fan. If possible, position a stand fan toward the window to expel odorous indoor air.
- The next step is to clean the container. Take help of vinegar or lemon for this purpose. The vinegar smell is a little strong at first, but it will help reduce the burning smell. It can also be cleaned with a few lemon slices in water.
- Place small bowls of baking soda in different corners of the kitchen. It will absorb the burning smell. A paste of baking soda and water also works to remove burnt spots on the pot.
But first of all, it should be noted that such a situation does not arise. Because even after leaving the kitchen, the burnt smell remains in the food. The taste may also change. If you realize that the food is starting to burn from the bottom, do these things quickly –

- Without stirring the food, slowly lift the top portion into another clean container. Do not mix it with the burnt part of the floor.
- Add little water to the curry quickly. You can add little tomato, lemon juice or tamarind according to the type of food. It will change the burnt and bitter taste. Add little sugar or jaggery as required. Sometimes adding a little curd, milk or cream to the gravy or meat will reduce the intensity of the burnt taste.
- If the curry burns too much, take out the good part, make a gravy with a little onion, tomato and spices in a new clean bowl and mix it. If the rice burns, quickly remove the top with your hands. Immerse the blackened pot with the charred bottom in cold water.
Even if the cook is skilled, he may have to face such obstacles. So it is advisable to try to solve the problem quickly without being embarrassed.
