Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Orders Mission Mode Transformation Of Maharashtra Education System With Time-Bound Reforms

Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde directed the School Education Department to work in mission mode for transforming the state’s education system. During a four-hour review meeting, he called for a time-bound plan focusing on teacher training, modern infrastructure, student health and community participation. Weekly reviews will monitor progress of the proposed reforms, officials said.

Mumbai: Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed the Maharashtra School Education Department to work in “mission mode” to bring about comprehensive and qualitative transformation in the state’s education system.

Shinde held a four-hour review meeting with School Education Minister Dada Bhuse and senior department officials at Nandanvan Bungalow in Mumbai on Saturday night. During the meeting, officials briefed him on various schemes, initiatives and the progress made by the department.

Time-bound plan for modern schools

Shinde called for a clear, comprehensive and time-bound action plan to modernise schools, strengthen teachers and ensure the holistic development of students. He said the changing aspirations of children required schools to evolve and create a modern, quality and future-ready education system.
