Yashasvi Jaiswal Reply To Harsha Bhogle: Yashasvi Jaiswal has responded strongly to veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle after the latter shared his assessment of the heated exchange between the India opener and Sri Lanka pacer Asitha Fernando during the second Test in Colombo. The incident occurred after Fernando dismissed Jaiswal for 45. The Sri Lankan pacer appeared to have said something, prompting Jaiswal to turn back and confront him. The two players exchanged words before Sri Lanka captain Dhananjaya de Silva stepped in to separate them.

Bhogle subsequently addressed the incident in a video uploaded by Cricbuzz, offering his view that Jaiswal should have simply continued walking back to the pavilion rather than returning to the confrontation.

Yashasvi Jaiswal appeared to take issue with Bhogle's assessment, arguing that the full context of the exchange was not known.

"If you don’t know what he said then please don’t make your judgment if anyone cross the line we need to let them know this India will fight and reply"

Jaiswal's response adds another layer to an incident that had already attracted considerable attention during the Test.

While Bhogle focused on the importance of walking away from confrontations, Jaiswal's comment suggested that he felt the remarks made by Fernando needed to be addressed.

The exchange has therefore continued beyond the field, with the India opener now publicly responding to one of cricket's most prominent voices on the incident.

What Did Harsha Bhogle Say About The Clash?

Harsha Bhogle acknowledged that something may have been said to Jaiswal but questioned the decision to turn around and engage with Fernando.

"As he (Jaiswal) is walking away, you can hear someone say something to him. I've never been a fan of sendoffs, once you've got a batter out that's good enough,"

He continued by suggesting that the simplest response would have been to leave the situation behind.

"Best thing to do in such a situation is just to walk away, but he turns and comes back"

Bhogle then directed his comments specifically towards Jaiswal, while also accepting that the initial provocation may have crossed a line.

"All I would say to Jaiswal is, yes, maybe what was said should not have been said, but as you give, so you must take, the easiest thing is just to go away," he added.
