Gold prices in the country have seen a decline. On the morning of August 24, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital, Delhi, slipped to ₹163,230 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, the rate has settled at ₹163,080 per 10 grams. Last week, the price of 24-carat gold had risen by ₹7,960, while 22-carat gold became dearer by ₹7,300.

On the other hand, global gold prices have risen, reaching a high not seen in over three months. According to Reuters, spot gold is trading at $4,636.34 per ounce. Global gold prices climbed more than 5 percent last week. Investors are awaiting US inflation data and a speech by Federal Reserve official Kevin Warsh later this week. Warsh is scheduled to speak at the Jackson Hole Symposium; his address is expected to provide clues regarding the future direction of benchmark interest rates.

Mumbai and Kolkata: In Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹199,490 per 10 grams, while 24-carat gold is priced at ₹163,080 per 10 grams.

Gold price in Chennai: The price of 24-carat gold is ₹163,080 per 10 grams, and the rate for 22-carat gold is ₹199,490 per 10 grams.

Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: In both these cities, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹163,080 per 10 grams, and the price of 22-carat gold is ₹199,490 per 10 grams.

In the international market, the price of spot silver stands at $69.51 per ounce. The price of platinum is at $1,885.38 per ounce.
