Hyderabad: A person was arrested by excise officials near Habsiguda Metro Station on Sunday, August 23, and 100 packets of ganja weighing 735 gram were seized from them.
The accused has been identified as Upaadhyaya Reetha. During questioning, the suspect reportedly told the officials that they had procured the ganja from a person from the Mallepally area.
The suspect and the seized ganja packets were handed over to the Uppal Excise Station for further investigation and legal action.
15 bottles of defence liquor seized
In a separate case, officials seized 15 bottles of defence liquor from a house in Pedda Amberpet. The house owner, 61-year-old Tatipalli Yogender and the liquor has been handed over to the Pedda Amberpet Excise Station.
Ganja seized from Serilingampally
A 24-year-old man was arrested from Railway Vihar Lingampalli and 500 gram ganja was seized from him. He has been handed over to the Serilingampally Excise Station.
