Here in Jackson city, a masked miscreant brutally shot and killed 62-year-old businessman of Gujarati origin, Suresh Patel, when he protested against the looting. At the time of this sensational incident, the deceased's 19-year-old daughter was standing right next to him, who survived this fatal attack safely.

The deceased Suresh Patel was originally a resident of Mehsana district of Gujarat. To earn his livelihood, he had taken ownership of a liquor store named 'Ridgecrest Cellars' in Jackson city just three days ago.

According to the local police, a masked robber entered the shop, brandished a gun and started looting cash from the counter. When Suresh Patel protested against this, the accused fired at him. Suresh Patel died on the spot due to bullet injury. During this time, a 70-year-old female employee present in the shop fell down in panic, due to which she suffered a serious fracture in her wrist.

The accused escaped in a white car, police released footage

After committing this incident, the accused collected cash from the counter and fled in a white sedan car parked outside. Jackson Police Department has released the identity of the suspect after reviewing CCTV footage. The attacker was wearing a black paintball mask and a gray hoodie. The police have appealed to the local citizens that if anyone has any information regarding this suspect, they should immediately inform the administration. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of immense anger and insecurity among the Indian community living in America, especially the Gujarati immigrants.
