BJP MP Dinesh Sharma hit back at the statement given by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding BJP. He said that the BJP and NDA governments have a history of standing strongly against Pakistan and the party always gives priority to India on the issue of national security.

Dinesh Sharma while talking to IANS said that BJP means India first. During 'Operation Sindoor', India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. This government has shown that if Pakistan does any nefarious act then we will enter its house and kill it.

Taking aim at the opposition, he said that when it comes to the security of the country, leaders of opposition parties make such statements which make headlines in Pakistan, Pakistan raises those statements in the UN.

On the rising prices of sugar, Dinesh Sharma said that the government understands the needs of the consumers and necessary steps are taken to ensure that the general public does not face any kind of problem.

He enumerated several possible reasons behind the increase in sugar prices. According to him, the reasons for this could be reduction in production, crop damage due to weather, increase in demand during festivals and increase in sugar prices in the international market.

War-like circumstances have also affected the international market and the government will have to take some more measures to control the situation. He refused to hold ethanol responsible for the rise in sugar prices.

The BJP MP, while defending the Yogi government on the issue of security of public representatives, said that the clear policy of the government is to ensure the safety of the general public and public representatives.

He said that while providing security, a person's party or ideology is not considered, but the potential threat is assessed. He claimed that based on the threat assessment, security of various leaders including Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and BJP leaders has been increased.

Dinesh Sharma said that the policy of Yogi government is not to give protection to criminals, but to give protection to public representatives. He alleged that earlier there used to be discrimination in security matters, whereas the BJP government does not discriminate on the basis of political party, caste or religion.

The BJP MP appealed to all political parties that elections will come and go, but leaders should avoid making personal comments on each other. He said that political differences have their place, but language and decorum should be kept in mind.

On the comments to Chaudhary Charan Singh, Dinesh Sharma said that his history has been glorious. He said that Chaudhary Charan Singh has been especially respected in the Jat community and their families.
