Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s newly formed team under national president Nitin Nabin at the party headquarters in Delhi.
Modi reached the BJP headquarters on Saturday evening, shortly after the party passed a resolution highlighting the honour and historic legacy of 'Vande Mataram' and announced a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about the National Song's history and significance.
PM Modi Poses With New BJP Office-Bearers
BJP president Nitin Nabin welcomed the Prime Minister at the party headquarters.
A video shared by news agency ANI showed Modi and Nabin posing with the entire team of office-bearers recently appointed to various organisational positions.
The 65-member team, announced on August 17, includes 51 new faces. Among them are Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Manoj Tigga and Sandeep Pathak.
The organisational revamp also saw former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former Union minister Smriti Irani being assigned key responsibilities.
Nitin Nabin Pushes ‘Yuva Samvad’
Earlier in the day, Nitin Nabin held a meeting with the newly appointed office-bearers and asked them to prioritise “Yuva Samvad”, or continuous engagement with young people.
