Hyderabad: Liverpool is looking to build a strategic partnership with Telangana, focused on life sciences, technology, sports and the creative economy, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said on Friday, August 22.
Susan Finnegan and Nuala Gallagher, corporate directors of city development at Liverpool City Council, met Reddy in London along with colleagues from Liverpool Football Club, as part of the Telangana Rising delegation’s ongoing UK visit.
Reddy said he was delighted with Liverpool’s interest in the partnership and confirmed a Liverpool delegation will visit Hyderabad in October to take the collaboration forward.
“It was a pleasure to meet Susan Finnegan and Nuala Gallagher from Liverpool City Development, along with colleagues from Liverpool Football Club in London today,” Reddy said. “I am delighted that Liverpool is keen to build a strategic partnership with Telangana in life sciences, technology, sports and the creative economy. I look forward to welcoming the Liverpool delegation to Hyderabad in October, when we will take this partnership forward and formalise our collaboration.”
The meeting came as the Chief Minister continues his UK leg of a two-nation tour, after the Centre denied political clearance for the US portion of the trip. During the visit, Reddy has held talks with several UK institutions, including a stop at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.
