He hit two consecutive fours in the midwicket area off the balls of off-spinner Brian Bennett, while hitting two fours and a brilliant six in the over of fast bowler Brad Evans.
Tilak Verma's explosive batting
Tilak Verma batted aggressively, completing his half-century in just 23 balls. Tilak hit three consecutive fours in one over of Zimbabwe's leading fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani. He also hit a brilliant six over midwicket off Evans' ball.

Indian batsmen added 61 runs in the last five overs to take the team to a strong score of 219 runs. Abhishek Sharma scored 8 runs and Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 20 runs. For Zimbabwe, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Nagarava, Brad Evans, Newman Nyamahuri and Brian Bennett took one wicket each.
