The all-rounder Esha Oza will be leading the UAE squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2026, which is set to begin on August 28.
The 28-year-old is one of the most experienced players in the squad. Having played 117 WT20Is, Oza has aggregated 3403 runs at an average of 34.72 and a strike rate of 119.69.
Her career includes five centuries and 14 fifties. Oza has rich experience as captain, leading the side in 54 games where they claimed 37 wins with a win percentage of 68.51.
Apart from Oza, Theertha Satish, Heena Hotchandani, Indhuja Nandhakumar and Lavanya Keny are other season campaigners named in the squad.
Placed in group B, UAE will play their group stage games against Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
UAE will play their opening game against Sri Lanka on August 24, while their second game will be against Indonesia on September 04.
Their third match will be against Bangladesh on September 08. All the games will be played at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
The semi-finals will be played on September 10 and September 11, while the final will be played on September 13.
