The deadline to apply for the Principal posts announced by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is approaching. Candidates aspiring to work as Principals in Uttar Pradesh are advised to complete the application process as soon as possible. The last date to apply for these positions is August 20, while the deadline for making corrections to the application form is August 23.

**Salary Details**
Candidates selected for this position will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹1,44,200 to ₹2,18,200.

**Eligibility Criteria**
The candidates' age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026, with a maximum age limit of 62 years. To apply, candidates must hold a PhD degree and possess a minimum of 15 years of work experience in universities, colleges, or higher education institutions.

**Registration Fee**
The registration fee is the same for candidates across all categories; everyone is required to pay a fee of ₹3,000.

**Exam Date**
The UPESSC will conduct the Principal examination on September 24. The written test will consist of 12 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 360 marks. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates shortlisted in the written examination will undergo an interview worth 40 marks. Additionally, only those securing a minimum of 110 research-related marks will be appointed to the post of Principal.
