During the State of Play event, PlayStation announced the first wireless speaker developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the PlayStation Pulse Elevate. According to PlayStation, this wireless speaker aims to build on the gaming audio experience that was introduced to customers with the Pulse Elite wireless headset and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.

This new wireless speaker from Sony packs a ton of audio features that aim to help it stand out from the crowd. Whether you’re gaming on a PS5, a smartphone, or a PC, you can purchase and make use of this new wireless speaker.

Pre-orders for this new audio product from Sony will open on September 1, 2026, with the product becoming available for purchase on November 12, 2026. Here is what you can expect with this new audio product from Sony.

PlayStation Pulse Elevate Features

Sony, via the PlayStation blog, advertises this product as being able to produce lifelike desktop audio with its next-generation audio technology. The Pulse Elevate is said to feature studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers, 3D audio technology, and built-in woofers that put out lifelike sound capable of filling the environment.

Sony’s goal with this is to ensure that players using these speakers will experience audio exactly how game developers intend for it to sound. Games on the PS5 that support Tempest will benefit from these audio features.

This speaker also features a built-in mic with AI-enhanced noise reduction. With this feature, the Pulse Elevate can identify and remove unwanted background noise, ensuring that players get clear communication while gaming.

Powering this wireless speaker is PlayStation’s Link technology, ensuring ultra-low latency and lossless connectivity. This gives users lifelike sound exactly as intended by game developers and is available not only on the PS5 but on any device that connects to the wireless speaker via Bluetooth.

Thanks to its built-in rechargeable battery, the new Pulse Elevate wireless speakers are portable as they don’t require being connected to a power source to operate. The wireless speakers are also designed to tilt forward or backwards to meet the orientation needs of users.

Charging the speakers is done via charging docks; the speakers also feature built-in volume controls. These features will help users get the most out of the Pulse Elevate once it hits stores after its official launch.

Pricing And Availability Of The Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers

The Pulse Elevate wireless speakers will retail as a pair with a left and a right speaker for a more immersive audio experience. There will also be two colour options with this new wireless speaker from Sony being Black and White.
