Agra. Surekha, a newlywed bride from Prayagraj, ran away with Rs 8 lakh in cash and jewelery six days after her wedding. After this, the victim's family has filed a case in Sikandra police station. At present, the police is going to Prayagraj in search of Surekha. There, along with his alleged father, his brother will also be verified.

According to the information received, Vishnu, a resident of Vikas Colony Sector 14, had talked about his relationship with 'Preeti' alias 'Surekha' on June 26 through middleman Jawahar Singh. After that Preeti was called to Agra. After that the marriage took place on 27th June, in which all the expenses were borne by Vishnu. The middleman had demanded Rs 1 lakh to organize this marriage. It is being told that Surekha's alleged brother Dharam Singh and father Babbu were present at the wedding. Then on the morning of July 3, the door of the house was found open and the bride Surekha was missing. Jewelery and Rs 1.5 lakh kept in the cupboard were also missing. After this, when the victim's family asked for help from the police, the police dismissed it as a domestic matter.
Guddi Devi of the victim's family has filed a case through the court on August 15 at Sikandra police station against Surekha, her alleged brother Dharam Singh, middleman Jawahar Singh and father Babbu. Rahul, brother of groom 'Vishnu' told that they are also searching from their level. Also, DCP City Syed Ali Abbas, who is investigating this case, said that legal action will be taken on the basis of the evidence found.
