Technology Desk: Tecno has launched its new Pova 8 series smartphone Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G in India. The company has introduced this phone a few months after the launch of the standard Pova 8. The new smartphone has an AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and a large 6,500mAh battery.

Vapor chamber cooling system is also available in the phone to improve gaming and performance. Apart from this, Alive Matrix Display is provided on the rear panel, in which 177 small LEDs have been used.

Price of Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G

The starting price of Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G in India has been kept at Rs 49,999. The company is also offering instant cashback of up to Rs 3,000 on select credit cards, debit cards and UPI payments.

The sale of the phone will start in India from August 21 through Flipkart. It can be purchased in three color options:

144Hz AMOLED display

Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has a 6.78 inch HyperLux AMOLED display. Its resolution is 1,208 x 2,644 pixels. The screen supports 144Hz refresh rate, which can make visuals appear smoother during scrolling and gaming.

The pixel density of the display is 429ppi and according to the company, its peak brightness is up to 4,500 nits. The screen can display 1.07 billion colors. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 93.18 percent. The company has also given IP69K rating to the phone, due to which it provides better protection in terms of dust and water protection.

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor

For performance, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset has been provided in the smartphone. It is an octa-core processor built on 4nm process and its maximum clock speed is 2.6GHz.

For graphics, it has ARM Mali-G615 MC2 GPU with Tecno P1 graphics chip. To ensure that the phone does not get too hot during gaming, the company has provided a vapor chamber cooling system. It has a heat dissipation area of ​​about 5,000 square millimeters.

Alive Matrix Display with 177 LEDs

Alive Matrix Display is provided on the rear panel of Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G. 177 small LEDs have been installed in it. According to the company, this system can create 'Breathing Light' effect in more than 49 different situations.

With the help of this feature, different types of light effects are visible on the back of the phone during notifications and other activities. Due to this, the rear design of the phone looks different from a normal smartphone.

50MP OIS camera and 8MP ultrawide lens

Dual rear camera setup has been provided in the phone for photography. Its main camera is 50 megapixels and it has the support of OIS i.e. Optical Image Stabilization.

An 8 megapixel ultrawide camera is provided with the main camera. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front of the phone for selfies and video calls.

Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has a 6,500mAh battery. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging. The combination of a large battery and fast charging can be especially useful for users who use the phone for long periods of time.
