Galatasaray are ready to put a huge proposal in front of Bruno Fernandes as they try to persuade the Manchester United captain to move to Istanbul.
The Turkish Super Lig club are willing to offer Fernandes double his present Premier League wages in an audacious attempt to bring him to the division.
Turkey has become an increasingly attractive destination for marquee names this summer, with Mohamed Salah, Dusan Vlahovic and Romelu Lukaku among the high-profile arrivals in the current transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, champions Galatasaray now want to make a major statement in the market themselves. The Istanbul club are prepared to bid €50m (£42.7m) for the 31-year-old, including add-ons, while also doubling the midfielder's salary at Old Trafford. Fernandes is currently on around £250,000 per week at Manchester United.
The Portugal midfielder has fewer than 12 months remaining on his existing contract, and Manchester United have already held discussions with his representatives over a possible extension.
In spite of that contract uncertainty, Michael Carrick's side have no plans to let their club captain leave this summer after a record-breaking Premier League season in 2025/26. Fernandes registered 21 assists in the Premier League last term, establishing a new single-season record.
Fernandes' present deal included a €65m release clause that could have been activated this summer, but that clause expired last month.
