Jhon Lucumi has officially completed his transfer to Juventus from Bologna for €19.5 million plus add-ons, the Bianconeri have confirmed.
Lucumi, 28, underwent his medical examinations in Turin on Sunday, and Juventus announced the signing this morning.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement with Bologna FC 1909 for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Jhon Janer Lucumí Bonilla has been reached for a consideration of € 19.5 million, payable in three financial years, with the addition of ancillary costs up to € 0.6 million,” Juventus said.
“Furthermore, bonuses up to a maximum of € 2 million are envisaged upon the achievement of further performance objectives. Juventus and the player have signed a contract of employment until 30 June 2030.”
Lucumi had arrived at Bologna from Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2022 for €8 million.
The Colombian central defender made 123 Serie A appearances for the Rossoblu and scored one goal.
Jhon Lucumi was also involved with Colombia during the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the defender seen during the Group K match between Uzbekistan and Colombia at Mexico City Stadium in Mexico City, Mexico, on June 17, 2026.
During his spell at Bologna, he also made eight Champions League appearances, scored one goal, and lifted the Coppa Italia in the 2024-25 season under Vincenzo Italiano.
A Colombia international, Lucumi featured at the 2026 World Cup and made five appearances, all of them as a starter.
Colombia were eliminated on penalties in the Round of 16 after losing to Switzerland.
Lucumi is Juventus’ fourth signing of the summer after Jeff Ekhator, Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegović. The Bianconeri are also close to agreeing a deal with Tottenham for Italy international Guglielmo Vicario.
