Chemistry Olympiad 2026: The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) has initiated the registration process for the Chemistry Olympiad Exposure Camp 2026. Registration is being conducted via Google Forms. Teachers from junior colleges and high schools who teach chemistry up to the Class 10 and Class 12 levels are eligible to participate in this Olympiad exposure camp. The camp will be held at HBCSE, Mumbai, from November 16 to November 19, 2026. Teachers employed in schools or junior colleges affiliated with state or central government education boards may also apply.
According to information available on the official HBCSE website (olympiads.hbcse.tifr.res.in), interested teachers can register for the exposure camp until September 11. In its notice, the Centre stated that during the selection process, priority will be given to teachers applying for the first time over those who have previously participated in the Chemistry Olympiad exposure camp.
**Teachers to Share Experiences**
HBCSE will release the list of selected teachers by September 18 on its official website (hbcse.tifr.res.in) or the Olympiad website (olympiads.hbcse.tifr.res.in). This exposure camp is organized by HBCSE, a national centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) based in Mumbai. Through this camp, the institute aims to share the experiences and insights gained from the Olympiad program with teachers. The camp will feature academic and pedagogical sessions covering topics and concepts related to both the practical and theoretical branches of chemistry.
**What to Expect at the Exposure Camp**
Teachers participating in the camp will be provided with specific questions designed for the Indian Chemistry Olympiad program. Teachers will be required to solve these questions beforehand; it is mandatory for every participant to solve at least one question prior to attending the camp. Participants will also be asked to discuss the academic and pedagogical aspects of the topic.
**Reimbursement of Travel and Accommodation Expenses**
Selected teachers will be reimbursed for travel expenses in accordance with the rules, up to a maximum limit equivalent to the 2AC train fare. The Centre has directed participants to book their tickets exclusively through designated travel agencies; expenses for tickets booked via any other travel portal will not be reimbursed. The Centre will also provide meals and accommodation at the HBCSE Guest House for all selected teachers for the entire duration of the camp.
